Goes Down Easy
The Memory ClubNightfall and the people fill the streets of this old town
Bar crawl, the music plays
A dram kick starts the evening
Or Gordon’s got the tonic
A cure for all the rattles in your mindAin’t no problem, it goes down easy
At the party it feels so goodHigh time, you wish that you could feel like this forever
Old wine, you take some more
The best of good intentions
Stumbles to the floor
A nightcap and then one more for the roadAin’t no problem, it goes down easy
But it’s late now, it’s time to stopHard rain; when the morning comes it seems so unforgiving
Freight train is in your head
A time to make a promise
A resolution clear
The first day of the rest of this old lifeThat’s the problem, it goes down easy
In the morning it kicks back hard(Music and Lyrics: The Memory Club)

Prison Ship

The Memory Club
-
The British have a long history of using the hulks of captured
or no longer sea worthy ships for the incarceration of prisoners.
This song was inspired by a 19th Century American Poem 'The British Prison Ship'
(Philip Freneau 1752 – 1832)
But its words still seem very topical.HMS Victory Walkthrough Tour: (Chave Weather)
